Well the 2011 season has come to end.  The rains and winds are here and the snow is falling in the western part of Mass, only to possibly make its way to the cape.

My over all view of fishing  this season was just ok.  It was one of the weirds seasons that I can remember and for some of the old time salts, they said they can not remember a fishing season like the one we just had.

During the dog days of August, you would have to run to Provincetown to find the  bass, this year I think I made three trips to Provincetown.  The view on why the fishing in the bay was tough was that there was some much bait on the back side of the cape that the fish never left that area.  Most of the time they would round the tip and make their home in the bay.  Not true for this year.  In past seasons the shoals and the path always held fish then Barnstable and at the end of the season Scorton Creek would be holding some big slobs.....

This year we had a lot of our returns come back and it was great to see them and catch up on what they and their family's have been doing.  We also had some new faces that joined us, and I say thank you.  I look forward to see you all again next year.

With the way things are in the economic world, we will be keeping our prices the same as this year.  I understand that times are tough and I truly believe that if we can maintain our prices this will allow you to get back out on the water with family and friends and enjoy a great day of fishing on Cape Cod Bay.

We added Face book to our site, so if you have any photos please post them on our Face book page.

As always thank you very much for making Shannon Sea part of your fishing adventures.  I look forward to seeing you  next year  and if you are looking to get out for the first time with us, please give me a call and I we can talk.   Stay safe and think tight lines.....May is not to far away .....
